Visit the Old Village Museum in Kumrovec, a unique open-air museum in Croatia, famous for its traditional buildings in which ethnographic exhibitions have been set up. Experience life in a typical Croatian village in the 20th century.

Kumrovec Ethno-village is the largest traditionally decorated space in Croatia, where visitors can experience an authentic look of a Zagorje village from the early 20th century. The most extensive restorations and reconstructions of the Old Village were carried out from 1979 to 1985.

Over forty restored buildings of traditional architecture tell the story of how Croatia's ancestors lived: from customs and daily life of farmers and their families to the various traditional crafts that secured their existence. You'll also see traditional gardens, barns and sheds – everything that makes a rich mosaic of life in the countryside.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the birth house of Josip Broz Tito – former president of Yugoslavia. It has been restored in the centre of the village, and hosts an ethnographic and historical exhibition. Reconstruction of the former classrooms and teachers' apartments can be seen in the old school building.
